Optometry Giving Sight is a global fund raising organization that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error - simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses. This organization was first launched in the UK in 2003, followed by Australia and the Netherlands in 2004, the United States and Canada in 2005, and Italy in 2006. In 2009, Optometry Giving Sight launched in Norway, Singapore and Ireland. Our eyes are the most valued sense. We see the world though our eyes. We learn with our eyes and communicate with our eyes. A person should not be limited by poor vision because they do not have access to eye examination and the glasses they need. At least 670 million people around the world are blind or vision impaired. Chase and Living Social are teaming up to provide a $250K to local small businesses. We have applied and we need 250 votes to be considered.  With the funds, we want to expand our business into other locations.
